We are committed to delivering exceptional service, maintaining strong relationships, and providing innovative banking solutions while fostering a collaborative workplace where employees can grow and succeed.The Infrastructure Engineer supports and maintains First Century Bank's on-premises datacenter and cloud environments. This role is a generalist, hands-on role responsible for implementing infrastructure changes, resolving incidents, performing system maintenance, and supporting disaster recovery activities while following established standards, change management procedures and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Bank's network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls, VPN's, and wireless technologies.Administer and maintain on-premises VMware (vSphere / ESXi / vCenter), Windows Server, and Linux environments including physical server infrastructure and datacenter operations.Operate and maintain cloud workloads, preferably Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, identity, storage), in a hybrid model.Support secure connectivity and consistent configuration across on-prem and cloud.Administer enterprise storage, backup, and replication solutions, including backup verification, data restoration, and recovery testing.Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity activities, including failover testing and maintaining recovery documentation.Administer Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and user access in accordance with security and least-privilege standards.Apply security updates, system hardening, and configuration standards while supporting audit and regulatory requirements.Monitor infrastructure health, respond to system alerts and incidents, and perform routine maintenance and patch management.Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools, primarily using PowerShell, to improve operational efficiency.Provide advanced infrastructure support, participate in scheduled maintenance and on-call support, and maintain accurate technical documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and runbooks.Required QualificationsThree (3) or more years of hands-on infrastructure experience supporting network, compute, virtualization, and storage/backup.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience.Experience administering VMware vSphere, Windows Server, and Active Directory.Working knowledge of networking technologies, including switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs.Experience with backup and recovery solutions and an understanding of high availability (HA), disaster recovery, RTO, and RPO concepts.Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.Experience with scripting and automation, preferably using PowerShell.Experience working within formal change management processes and maintaining technical documentation.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry.Industry certifications such as VMware VCP, CCNA, Microsoft AZ-104, Security+.Experience with disaster recovery testing, enterprise storage (SAN), and backup platforms.Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management tools.First Century Bank is an equal opportunity employer.
