Job Title: Lead Technical Analyst – Payroll (Oracle HCM)


Job Type: Full-Time


Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Work Arrangement: Onsite with potential for future hybrid remote




Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced Lead Technical Analyst – Payroll to support a large-scale Oracle HCM Payroll implementation. This role will serve as a key partner to Payroll, HR, IT, and other business units, ensuring payroll systems are configured accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.


The ideal candidate brings strong Oracle HCM Payroll experience, hands-on ERP implementation exposure, and the ability to lead payroll-related technical initiatives from planning through execution.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead functional and technical payroll support during enterprise HCM / ERP implementations
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Oracle HCM Payroll and payroll-related system processes
  • Partner with Payroll, HR, IT, and cross-functional teams to design and configure payroll solutions
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance throughout system implementation and ongoing operations
  • Coordinate and execute system testing, including parallel testing and validation
  • Analyze payroll data flows and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze payroll reports
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of payroll system issues
  • Manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives effectively


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Bookkeeping, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working with centralized automated payroll processing systems or a related financial/accounting environment
  • Strong experience with Oracle HCM Payroll
  • Proven experience supporting ERP implementations, particularly on the payroll side
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and process efficiency
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle, Lawson, UKG, or Infor
  • Experience with UKG Timekeeping systems
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • American Payroll Association (APA) certification
