Salary range (but not limited to):

101,800 - 124,400

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

The Solimar Developer is responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining automated document workflows within the Solimar systems suite. This role focuses on optimizing digital print and electronic delivery processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and reliability across all output channels. Working closely with IT, operations, and production teams, the Lead ensures smooth end-to-end workflow execution and continuous improvement.

What you'll do here:

  • Deliver high-quality work effectively and efficiently.

  • Design, configure, test, and maintain Solimar workflows using Solimar Print Director Enterprise (SPDE), iConvert, SOLfusion, ReadyPDF, and Rubika to support document composition and print production.

  • Re-engineer and optimize print workflows (AFP, PDF, PostScript, PCL) for high-quality print and digital rendering.

  • Manage workflow automation within Solimar tools-minimizing manual intervention and improving throughput.

  • Ensure document integrity, security, and compliance in high-volume, data-driven production environments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Solimar-related production issues to maintain availability and performance.

  • Document workflows, configuration details, and standard operating procedures.

  • Evaluate and recommend Solimar upgrades and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Solimar systems (Solimar Print Director Enterprise (SPDE), iConvert, Rubika, SOLfusion, or ReadyPDF).

  • Experience in digital printing, print workflow re-engineering, or transactional print/mail environments.

  • Basic mainframe knowledge.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

  • Bilingualism. Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
