Compliance Manager (Financial Services / Lending)
*** This is an in-office role, so only experienced candidates who reside in the South Florida market will be considered or those willing to relocate***.
As a Compliance Manager, you'll play a vital role in upholding our values by ensuring that our operations comply with local, state, and federal laws, as well as industry regulations. We're committed to fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement, and we need your expertise to help us achieve these goals.
We are looking for someone with a strong legal and compliance background who will use data, advanced technology (including AI), and financial services experience to help grow and build our compliance department.
Earn salary + bonus starting at $100,000 or more annually!
Your Responsibilities:
As our Compliance Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our compliance efforts. Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Leading Compliance Programs: You'll spearhead the development and execution of SAFCO's compliance initiatives in compliance with CFPB guidance, state regulations, and federal guidelines
  • Compliant Management and Remediation: Oversee compliant management system. Respond to any customer complaints and investigate to propose any internal remediation steps or team member coaching
  • Risk Management: Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring our operations remain ethical and lawful.
  • Training and Education: Facilitate training sessions to educate our team members on compliance regulations and best practices, empowering them to uphold our standards.
  • Quality Assurance / Audits: Design and manage quality assurance program ans scorecards for funding and collections team to test adherence to policy and relevant laws. Conduct periodic audits to evaluate our systems and procedures for regulatory compliance.
  • Policies and Procedures: Work closely with senior leadership and other departments to develop, modify, and maintain policies and procedures that align with our compliance program.

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.
JD degree is a plus
Must have knowledge and experience of financial services and laws/regulations related to lending and loans
