Job description

Join Servus Credit Union - Canada’s Largest Credit Union!

We are looking for a full-time Universal Financial Associate in our Bassano Branch!

Posting Closes: June 5th, 2026

Internal use only: S1; B

At Servus Credit Union, we do things differently—because we’re a credit union, not a bank. And that difference matters.

We believe in putting people before profits, which is why our members are also our owners. Every dollar we earn is reinvested into the things that matter most: our members, our employees, and our communities. Whether it’s through profit sharing, competitive rates, or local initiatives that make a real impact, we’re here to help Albertans feel good about their money.

We’re looking for passionate, values-driven people to join our team. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds who are aligned with our values and are eager to contribute in meaningful ways. If you're excited to grow your career with a team that’s innovative, hardworking, collaborative and deeply rooted in community, we want to meet you.

Join Servus and discover a better way to work.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, our Universal Financial Associate plays an integral role in the branch by supporting our members with all their banking needs. As a Universal Financial Associate, you'll prepare documents for member meetings, provide regular proactive contact and follow-up with members, handle discussions with walk-in members, and a variety of administrative and branch support activities. You'll also help the branch and our members by processing daily banking transactions and recommending products and services to ensure our members feel good about their money.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Proactively gather and document all pertinent information required for the Financial Advisor to have a robust conversation.
  • Reviewing personal accounts for completeness, accuracy, and ensure they are fully compliant. Look for recommendations to shape the members financial fitness.
  • Opening and reviewing new accounts, following up with members as per member service guidelines.
  • Preparing and entering loan application information.
  • Supporting branch activities to grow new memberships and strengthen our financial relationship with existing members.
  • Clearly and skillfully differentiate between credit union and competitor products and services. Present advice and solutions that will serve to improve the member's financial situation
  • With accuracy, processing member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan and utility payments, money orders, credit card advances, calculation of foreign and domestic exchange & cheque cashing

What you bring:

  • At least 1 year of retail banking or sales experience in addition to your high school diploma.

Although not required, the following education/certificates are valuable assets:

  • Post-secondary education in Finance (or related studies)
  • IFIC certification

Why Servus?

  • Competitive compensation including performance-based incentive pay and profit share
  • Training & Development Opportunities
  • Career Advancement Potential
  • Flexible work options
  • Meaningful work towards individual and corporate goals
  • Opportunities to get involved and give back through an employee volunteer program

At Servus, our employees are also members. This means you'll have all the benefits of being a member of the credit union including profit sharing, voting for the board of directors, and all of the financial services we provide…with a few additional perks!
