Job Purpose:

The Finance & Insurance (F&I) Sales Representative sells new and used truck buyers financing and insurance programs. F&I Sales Reps also work with financial lenders to give fair interest rates to buyers and programs. As with all positions within dealerships, F&I Sales Representatives are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.


Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Honor Commitment:

  • Processing financing and leasing deals accurately and securing approval through financial sources to secure approval and through the proper federal, state and corporate channels, demonstrating a commitment to compliance and ethical practices.
  • Understanding and complying with federal, state and local regulations that affect the new and used-vehicle and finance departments, fulfilling legal obligations and maintaining the company's reputation.
  • Creating and maintaining a program with the sales department that will ensure all new sales are referred to the F&I department, demonstrating a commitment to collaboration and maximizing sales opportunities.

Create Positive Experiences:

  • Offering vehicle financing and insurance to customers and providing them with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties and a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies, ensuring customers are well-informed and confident in their purchase decisions.
  • Build rapport with customers, understand their needs, and provide personalized financing and insurance solutions to enhance their purchase experience.

Foster Life-Long Learning:

  • Seeking new lending institutions and maintaining good working relationships to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs, demonstrating a proactive approach to securing the best options for customers.
  • Stay informed about changes in financing and insurance regulations, products, and market trends to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.

Exhibit Pioneering Spirit:

  • Proactively seek opportunities to streamline the financing and insurance process, enhance efficiency, and improve customer experience.
  • Develop and propose new F&I products or services that could meet customer needs and enhance the dealership's offerings.

Demonstrate Good Stewardship:

  • Training and providing the sales team with information on finance and lease programs and the benefits of the dealership's financing and extended service programs, contributing to the knowledge and sales effectiveness of the team.
  • Ensure accurate and ethical presentation of financing and insurance products, protecting the interests of both the customer and the dealership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School or Equivalent, Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance is preferred.
  • A strong background in business, mathematics, marketing and computers is also useful.
  • Ability to work effectively with peers to implement business process changes.
  • Intermediate computer skills required.
  • Dependable and reliable attendance required.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
