PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes renewal applications and collaborates with insurance brokers to prepare underwriting submissions.

  • Collects, reviews, analyzes, and updates exposure data to support insurance policy renewals.

  • Manages and maintains insurance exposure data, documents, and electronic risk management files. Assures compliance with corporate documentation retention policies.

  • Reviews insurance policies for quality control and coverage adequacy.
    Coordinates renewal strategy meetings with insurance broker and internal stakeholders.

  • Assists with annual budgeting and auditing processes.

  • Analyzes loss runs and performs ongoing risk evaluations.

  • Tracks and reviews insurance premium allocations, fees, and charges.

  • Reviews and processes department invoices.

  • Assists internal customers with general contract reviews, insurance certificate requests, proof of insurance, claims questions.

  • Coordinates and Manage Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID Cards requests.

  • Reports and manages Property Insurance Claims.

  • Responds to information requests for claims and maintains electronic claim files.

  • Assists with other claims management items and oversight as directed by supervisor.

  • Supports the development of and compliance with risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Engages with internal business units to understand needs and identifies opportunities to provide solutions to specific risk issues.

  • Tracks and follows up on Property Loss Engineering recommendations. Coordinates with property management and operations as needed on recommendations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required, with a degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Economics or related field preferred.

  • Recent Risk Management college graduate and/or 1-3 years of Risk Management and Insurance experience preferred.

  • Relative knowledge and experience in the areas of Insurance, Risk Management, Safety & Health preferred.

  • Preferred Skills And Abilities

  • Experience and skilled with Microsoft Programs, particularly Excel

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong computer skills

  • Continuous Improvement focus/ Ability to Identify Process Improvements

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative fast-paced team environment.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with a focus on quality and consistency and strength in documentation.

  • Travel may be required, estimated- 5%
