How you'll contribute
A Director of Clinical Risk Management who excels in this role:
- Provides strategic leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate clinical and organizational risks, driving initiatives that improve patient safety and protect the organization.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for hospital leadership, practice managers, Health Support Center (HSC) representatives, insurers, attorneys, and other stakeholders on all aspects of clinical risk management.
- Develops, implements, and monitors risk management goals, policies, and procedures, providing guidance to reduce risk and prevent patient harm.
- Educates leaders and stakeholders on risk management essentials, emerging trends, and proactive strategies to mitigate loss.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including The Joint Commission (TJC), Department of Health (DOH), and CMS requirements.
- Participates in HSC committees, workgroups, and councils to create resources and tools that support risk management across LifePoint affiliates.
- Analyzes incidents, trends, and risk data to inform leadership decisions, recommend preventive actions, and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management initiatives.

What we're looking for
Proven experience in Quality or Risk Management within a healthcare setting..
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; relevant advanced degrees a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Risk Management or Quality in an acute care setting preferred.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory and accreditation standards, including TJC, CMS, and Department of Health requirements.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies to mitigate clinical and organizational risks.
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels across hospital and corporate settings.
Proven track record of developing and implementing risk management policies, programs, and initiatives that improve patient safety and organizational outcomes.
