Your Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Financial Rebate Analyst to join the Rebate Center of Expertise team. This role is responsible for processing vendor rebates, supporting rebate accounting and financial reporting, resolving vendor disputes, and ensuring rebate calculations are accurate and compliant with contractual terms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial analysis, data validation, and process improvement. This individual will research discrepancies, perform recalculations, identify root causes, and partner with cross-functional teams to develop sustainable fixes that improve rebate accuracy and operational efficiency.
As a Financial Rebate Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting Chewy's vendor rebate program, which contributes approximately $2 billion to the business. Given the materiality and complexity of vendor rebates, this role is critical to minimizing rebate leakage, improving data quality, resolving vendor concerns, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
What You'll Do:
  • Process vendor rebates accurately and timely in accordance with contractual terms, established procedures, and financial controls.
  • Validate rebate calculations, funding rates, eligible sales, and other supporting data to ensure billing and accrual accuracy.
  • Research rebate discrepancies and perform recalculations to determine the appropriate financial outcome.
  • Assist in period-end close tasks and external and internal audit deliverables related to vendor rebates
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and merchandising teams to ensure rebate accuracy.
  • Assist in data validation and audit processes related to rebate programs.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements for rebate operations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 0+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or rebate support roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Understanding of rebate accounting, contract compliance, and accruals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze large datasets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
