Position Summary

As a Senior CAAS Associate, you will prepare and review complex financial information, manage account records, and analyze financial data for a portfolio of clients across diverse industries. You will lead month-end and annual close-out engagements, mentor associates, and partner with managers to help clients understand the story behind their numbers. This role blends technical depth, client service, and people development in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.


What You will Do

  • Successfully perform and review complex client engagements, including write-up and general accounting work.
  • Prepare and review client financial statements so they can be easily interpreted by a reviewer or client.
  • Lead month-end and annual financial reporting close-outs and tax reconciliation for assigned clients.
  • Review associate-level deliverablesfor accuracy beforedetailedreview.
  • Prepare and review adjusting journal entries, trial balances, and supporting schedules.
  • Investigatefinancial statementvariances and reconcile account balances tosupportingdocumentation.
  • Support account reconciliations, financial reporting deliverables, and client documentation requests.
  • Recognize,anticipate, and research accounting issues for clients; derive conclusions and make recommendations to the management team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What WeareLooking For

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, ora relatedfieldrequired.

Three or more years of financial reporting or accounting experience at a CPA firm preferred.

Intermediate to advanced spreadsheet skills, including creating formulas, using lookups, and analyzing data.

Demonstrated ability to mentor or train junior team members.

Current CPA license or CPA eligible and working toward licensure preferred. Experience with Thomson Reuters Suite, QuickBooks Online, and Bill.com is a plus.


Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Air-conditioned office setting with lighting and minimal noise. Sedentary work that includes operating standard office equipment and keyboards, with repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers. Close visual acuity isrequiredfor preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Must be able to communicate clearly by phone and in person, hear and distinguish speech and other sounds, and exert up to20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, or pull objects. Must be able to walk short distances and drive a vehicle to other Byrne Zizzi locations or to client sites.


Travel

May travel as needed to other Byrne Zizzi locations orto meetwith clients at their location.
