Financial Liaison I Job Compensation:

  • $64,783.84 to $80,979.80 / Salary Exempt (depending on experience).ย

Financial Liaison I Job Responsibilities:ย 

  • Responsible for financial reporting for the assigned program or grants for both internal and programย requiredย monthly, quarterly, andย applicableย close out or final reporting.ย ย 
  • Maintain and obtainย appropriate currentย program documentation needed to substantiate program operations.ย 
  • Monitoring of actual financial results compared to budget and communication toย appropriate levelsย to ensure funds are not overspent.ย ย 
  • Analysis and forecasting of current financial position to the unspent funds or budgeted transaction level to ensure proper budget compliance with the funding source and communicate results to theย appropriate personnel.ย 
  • Ongoing review of financial transactions that include invoice, travel reports, personnel time sheet activityย codingย and non-federal share. Ensure transactions are compliant with applicable financial orย purchasingย and program policy requirements to ensureย transactionโ€™sย adherence with them;ย initiateย necessary corrective action for any non-compliant items.ย 
  • Perform necessaryย month endย processing activities for assigned grantsย and orย programs.ย ย 
  • Primary responsibility for transactional review and approval of: Vouchers, stipends, emergencyย assistanceย payment requests and refugeeย assistanceย payment requests and applicable company travel reports.ย 
  • Transact and affect all requests for cash for assigned grant/ program and related AR.ย 
  • Function as the liaison and coordinate applicable program or grant monitoring reviews and provide all requested information needed toย monitorย the program.ย 
  • Responsible for routine accounting, processing, and distribution of gift cards to UMOS programs.ย 
  • Responsible for petty cash processing and orย imprestย accounts to ensure transactions are properly executed and are fully documented.ย 
  • Maintain the Intranet Time recording system with new and changed EAN information and communicate as appropriate.ย 
  • Serve as the backup role for Accounts Payable Vendor and setup functionย 
  • Reconciliations ofย companyโ€™sย main cash operating account and other GL account reconciliations.ย ย 
  • Maintain andย participateย in the ongoing department activities thatย compriseย the Companyโ€™s internal control environment withย focusย on Uniform Guidance 2 CFR regulationsย pertaining toย non-profits.ย 
  • As needed, other duties as assigned asย appropriate toย and correlated with position and responsibilities.ย 
  • Assistย with other department projects and audit requests.ย ย 

Financial Liaison I Qualifications:ย 

  • Associate degree in accounting or financial related area, or credits equivalent to a two- year degree; Note: Additional years of work experience in a relevant field can beย equivalentย for one year of education.ย 
  • Minimum threeย yearsย accounting or financial experience preferably in non-profit or government.ย 
  • Intermediate skillset utilizing computer software applications including Microsoft Office, Accounting software programs and other customary desktop programs.ย 
  • Solid analytical skills.ย 
  • Good organizational, prioritization and communicationย skillsย and the ability to work comfortably on your own or as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment.ย 
  • Able to travel and beย open toย flexibleย working hoursย during the peak and busy season.ย
