  • Prior Experience: Graduated from Illinois State University with a B.S. in Marketing and has held roles at every level of Northwestern Mutuals leadership track, including Assistant Regional Director at the companys Milwaukee headquarters.
  • Passionate About: Ryan lives in Elmhurst, Illinois, with his wife and their three children. He enjoys family time, sports, and community involvement. Together, the Kramers support organizations such as Alexs Lemonade Stand Foundation, Feed My Starving Children, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and Bear Necessities. Ryan is also active with the ISU Marketing Alumni Board, the Butterfield Country Club Finance Committee, and the Church of the Resurrection in Elmhurst.
Trent Mausser CLU, ChFC, Managing Director:
  • Time with NM: Began his career as a College Financial Representative in 2001 while attending the University of Northern Iowa.
  • Prior Experience: Recognized nationally as a top college representative, Trent was featured in USA Today in 2001 and 2002. He became a full-time Financial Representative in 2002 and transitioned into leadership roles including College Unit Director, Field Director, and later Managing Director of the Chicago office.
  • Passionate About: Trent lives in Park Ridge, Illinois, with his wife and their three daughters. His family enjoys golf, boating, and travel, and actively supports organizations like Feed My Starving Children, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Bear Necessities, and Alexs Lemonade Stand.
Kevin Pabst ChFC, Managing Director:
  • Time with NM: Started as a College Financial Representative in 2011 and now leads the Barrington Office.
  • Prior Experience: A Chicagoland native, Kevin grew up in Arlington Heights and earned his degree in Economics from Michigan State University, where he played club hockey. During his time in leadership with the Schaumburg District Office, the internship program was ranked among the top 10 in the Northwestern Mutual system three times.
  • Passionate About: Kevin and his wife, Kelly, live in Palatine, Illinois, with their two children. He enjoys family time, golf, and relaxing at his familys lake house.
Scott Carr CLU, MSM, Managing Director:
  • Time with NM: Joined Northwestern Mutual as a college intern in 1984 and opened his own office in Schaumburg at age 24.
  • Prior Experience: A top 10 intern at Illinois State University, Scott ranked among the top new advisors nationally in 1986 and 1987. His office has consistently ranked among the top 10 in production for Northwestern Mutual.
  • Passionate About: Scott lives in the northwest suburbs with his wife, Gina. He enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family, including his two adult children, and grandchildren.
Jason Frano Managing Director:
  • Time with NM: Joined Northwestern Mutual in 2014 and became Managing Director of the Naperville office in 2020.
  • Prior Experience: Before Northwestern Mutual, Jason worked in sales for Toyota Corporation. He was named Rookie of the Year in his first year and ranked among the top 50 new advisors nationwide. He later served as College Unit Director and Field Director before stepping into his current leadership role.
  • Passionate About: Jason lives in Lombard with his wife and their two sons. He enjoys running marathons, coaching his sons basketball and baseball teams, and spending time with family.
Tracey Daniels Executive Director of Selection, Chicagoland
  • Time with NM: Began her Northwestern Mutual career as an Associate Financial Representative in 2012 and returned in 2023 as District Recruiter before advancing to her current role.
  • Prior Experience: Studied Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations at Michigan State University. Tracey leads selection and recruiting strategy across all offices, focusing on helping professionals build lasting, fulfilling careers.
  • Passionate About: Originally from Woodridge, IL, Tracey now resides in Shelby Township, MI, with her husband, daughter, and their dog, Bubba. A former figure skater, she enjoys giving back to the skating community, attending country concerts, and boating with her family.
