Program Manager III

Location: Nashua, NH Area | Hybrid - contract position

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager III to lead defense hardware programs from development through production and customer support. This is a customer-facing role working closely with Engineering, Operations, Contracts, Finance, and Business Development to deliver complex aerospace and defense programs on time and within budget.

Government contract experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead programs through development, production, and in-service support.
  • Develop and manage program schedules, budgets, estimates, deliverables, and resources.
  • Manage scope, risks, opportunities, and program changes.
  • Track program KPIs, critical paths, cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Contracts, Finance, and Business Development.
  • Support RFPs, proposals, compliance matrices, schedules, estimates, and Statements of Work.
  • Manage subcontractors and contractual obligations as required.
  • Serve as the primary customer point of contact and provide regular program status updates to leadership.
  • Develop solutions to program issues and ensure customer expectations are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 6+ years of progressive project/program management experience involving defense hardware systems.
  • Experience with Government Contracts is required.
  • Knowledge of government contracting practices and Earned Value Management (EVMS).
  • Experience leading technical product-development programs.
  • Aerospace & Defense or SATCOM industry experience.
  • Experience with program scheduling tools such as MS Project.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to access to export-controlled information.

Preferred

  • Defense development and/or production program management experience.
  • PMP certification.
  • Contract/subcontract management experience.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, and export regulations.
  • Experience with Confluence and SharePoint.
  • Experience managing programs in a multi-site, matrixed organization.
  • Prior external customer-facing experience.
