Job description

DesignNRank is seeking an experienced and highly organized Procurement Manager to oversee the company’s procurement activities and ensure the timely, cost-effective, and efficient acquisition of goods, services, equipment, and other resources required for business operations.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing, monitoring procurement performance, and ensuring that purchasing activities align with company policies, operational requirements, quality standards, and budgetary objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and operational requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Source goods, services, equipment, and other resources based on quality, cost, availability, and business requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and related procurement documentation.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, product quality, and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor information, contracts, and purchasing documentation.
  • Analyze purchasing data and market trends to identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities.
  • Work closely with finance, operations, administration, and other departments to forecast purchasing needs.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, applicable regulations, and internal approval procedures.
  • Manage supplier issues, delivery delays, discrepancies, and other procurement-related concerns.
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with key vendors and strategic suppliers.
  • Monitor procurement budgets and help control unnecessary or excessive expenditures.
  • Prepare procurement reports, performance metrics, cost analyses, and management updates.
  • Continuously evaluate procurement processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of pricing, contracts, supplier information, and other sensitive business information.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, purchasing processes, and supplier management.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing, contracts, terms, and service agreements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, procurement systems, and business software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, integrity, and accountability.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with procurement or ERP software.
  • Vendor evaluation and contract-management experience.
  • Strong data analysis and cost-management skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply-chain processes.
  • Ability to identify cost-reduction and operational-efficiency opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
