Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the role of Associate Financial Representative. This position is integral to the growth and success of our firm. The ideal candidate will support the continued growth of the practice by servicing existing clients and building new client relationships with a strong focus on financial and investment planning strategies.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Financial Planning:
    • Financial Plan Creation - Utilize financial planning software to assist in creating financial plans for clients.
    • Cash Flow Management - Monitor and manage cash flow to and from accounts with a focus on maximizing tax efficiency.
    • Portfolio Management - Conduct investment portfolio tax analysis, design, and rebalancing of portfolios.
    • Implementation and Review - Oversee implementation and review of financial plans and portfolio management.
    • Workflow Management - Accurate completion of all investment account paperwork, tracking onboarding processes, and ensuring timely client communication.
    • Trade Execution - Place trades and manage investment paperwork and transactions.
    • Client Education - Advise clients on holistic strategies with an emphasis on tax efficiency, risk management, and sustainable lifetime income.
    • Insurance Support - Assist with insurance applications and underwriting when team members are out.
  • Client Service:
    • Strategic Partnership - Collaborate with the Wealth Management Advisor on client solutions and recommendations to support client relationships
    • Client Communication - Manage correspondence, notes, files, and maintain compliant client records.
    • Meeting and Case Preparation - Prepare materials for new and existing client meetings, update client recommendation documents (agenda and executive summary), and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Data Gathering - Collect essential client data and prepare comprehensive financial plans.
  • Client Experience and Marketing:
    • Event Support - Execute client engagement opportunities in partnership with the Marketing Team.
    • Manage Digital Presence Update Nordvest Wealth Advisory website, leverage and maintain e-marketing, and maximize social media presence.
  • Professional Development - Stay up to date on software system enhancements, new products, and compliance changes/opportunities; and participate in continuous learning and development activities


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree preferred
  • Licensing: Minnesota Life, Accident, and Health insurance licenses required before starting; SIE, Series 7 & 63 within 12 months of starting. All licensing tuition paid for by firm. Bonuses upon successful passing of each test.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $50,000 plus bonus.
    • Bonuses: Paid upon completion of test/obtaining requisite insurance and investment licenses.
    • Estimated Total First Year: $53,000-58,000+.
