Job description

Wealth Planning Associate

About the Opportunity

We are a growing, team-oriented financial services firm committed to delivering outstanding wealth management and financial planning solutions to the clients who trust us with their most important financial decisions. We operate with a fiduciary mindset and a deeply collaborative internal culture -- one that invests heavily in the growth, development, and well-being of our people. With a track record of steady expansion and a reputation built on integrity and excellence, we are adding a Wealth Planning Associate to our advisory team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to sharpen their craft as a financial planner while working alongside seasoned advisors in a firm that takes professional development seriously. You will be embedded within an advisory team and report directly to the Director of Financial Planning.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

-        Collaborate with financial advisors to gather, organize, and analyze client financial data in support of comprehensive wealth plans

-        Build and maintain financial plan models and reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and a polished presentation ready for client delivery

-        Prepare materials and supporting documentation for client meetings, including plan summaries, investment reviews, and strategy overviews

-        Stay current on regulatory developments, tax law updates, market trends, and financial planning best practices to ensure all work reflects up-to-date knowledge

-        Support advisors throughout client meetings, contributing to discussions and helping communicate planning recommendations

-        Work cross-functionally with internal departments to identify process improvements, support workflow efficiency, and help develop departmental best practices

-        Assist in identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships through thoughtful planning analysis and proactive follow-through

-        Contribute to departmental initiatives including continuing education, knowledge sharing, and internal strategy development

Required Skills and Qualifications

-        Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related discipline

-        3+ years of experience in financial planning, paraplanning, or a directly related role within a wealth management or advisory firm

-        Active progress toward or completion of the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation is strongly preferred

-        Proficiency with financial planning software platforms -- experience with eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, or similar tools is a plus

-        Strong analytical ability with experience interpreting and presenting complex financial data to both internal and client-facing audiences

-        Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort in a client-facing environment is essential

-        Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving team environment

-        Ability to work both independently and collaboratively -- comfortable owning deliverables while also functioning as a strong team contributor

-        No immigration sponsorship available for this position

Why This Role Stands Out

-        Join a firm with a clear fiduciary commitment and a culture built around doing right by clients and employees alike

-        Gain high-visibility experience working directly alongside senior advisors on complex, meaningful planning engagements

-        Competitive compensation in the $90K-$115K range with a strong total rewards package

-        Benefits include 401(k) with employer match, employer-funded HSA, medical and vision coverage, and robust continuing education support

-        Real room to grow -- the firm is expanding and actively supports career development for planners on the partner track

- For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
