Job description

Financial Analyst, Operations
The Opportunity
This position is part of the Glanbia Nutritionals (DN) Operations Finance team, which includes Southwest Cheese and MWC. Our team is responsible for operational financial modelling, performance/cost reporting, planning and analysis for manufacturing plants in Idaho, New Mexico, and Michigan.
What You'll Do
  • Idaho financial planning model, including transfer prices.
  • Finished goods inventory analysis.
  • Cheese freight recovery outlooks and budgeting.
  • Regular milk demand planning model across the GN Idaho facilities, analyze and monitor trends of component variances against plan and forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly milk analysis for performance causals and provide insightful commentary for commercial and operations packs.
  • Analyze monthly GN Dairy spare parts analysis, including but not limited to slow moving parts, rebuilt parts tracking and reporting, and min/max inventory analysis reports.
  • Supports GN Dairy powders inventory analysis and outlooks, as needed.
  • Review work and test for reasonableness; identify questionable results and investigate root cause.
  • Support analysis of data as well as development/refinement of financial models related to continuous improvement initiatives and internal growth.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams across Idaho, New Mexico, and Michigan to drive efficiencies and standardization of processes across the organization.
  • Manage individual and team projects as assigned.
  • Cross-train with other analysts, collaborate and share learnings across the team.

  • Bachelor's degree required, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to quickly change priorities and handle competing priorities
  • Must be extremely accurate and detail oriented in performing tasks and cross-checking work
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
