Loan and Account Servicing Specialist

Location: On-Site
Reports To: Operations Manager


Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan and Account Servicing Specialist to support daily loan and account servicing operations. This role is responsible for processing payments, maintaining loan accounts, conducting account research, resolving payment exceptions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are critical.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and post payments including ACH, lockbox, card, and electronic payments
  • Perform loan servicing maintenance such as due date changes, loan modifications, fee adjustments, and account updates
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies, payment exceptions, and servicing issues
  • Process ACH transactions and reconcile payments against bank reports
  • Maintain accurate loan and HOA account records
  • Review and resolve rejected payments while documenting account activity
  • Process billing method changes, loan status updates, and posting adjustments
  • Assist with month-end processing and account reconciliation activities
  • Support special projects, reporting requests, and operational improvement initiatives
  • Provide support to front-line staff and assist with loan servicing inquiries


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Loan Servicing, Banking, Financial Services, Accounting, or a related field
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred
  • Experience with payment processing, account maintenance, reconciliation, or financial transactions
  • Strong data entry and administrative skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills


Ideal Candidate Background:
Candidates with experience in loan servicing, banking operations, mortgage servicing, collections, payment processing, accounting support, account reconciliation, or financial operations are highly encouraged to apply.
