Position Overview

Join NCF's Investments Team and play a key role in supporting our mission of advancing biblical generosity. As an Investment Operations Associate focused on Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), you'll serve as the primary liaison to financial advisors and our nationwide network of NCF local offices.

This role blends investment knowledge, relationship management, operational excellence, and problemโ€‘solving. You will guide advisors through the SMA onboarding process, support ongoing account activity, and help ensure compliance with NCF's investment policies, all while strengthening partnerships that advance Kingdom impact.

Reports to: Manager, Investment Operations

Management/Supervision: None

Duties and Responsibilities

SMA Account Establishment

  • Builds and maintains trusted relationships with financial advisor teams and NCF local offices as the resident expert on the SMA offering
  • Leads orientation sessions for new SMA advisor teams and guide them through the account establishment process
  • Serves as primary point of contact for coordinating required documentation, legal review, and system setup for newly opened SMAs
  • Partners with internal teams to process cash movements and ensure timely, accurate account activation

Ongoing SMA Service and Maintenance

  • Provides day-to-day support to financial advisors, NCF local offices, and other internal partners on SMA related questions of operational issues
  • Troubleshoots and resolves inquiries related to brokerage statement activity, contributions, or other account correspondence
  • Liaison with financial advisor teams to obtain information regarding and then record direct charitable contributions of cash and securities made to the SMAs
  • Collaborates with financial advisor teams, NCF local office teams, and other internal partners to develop creative, effective solutions for service and operational challenges

Investment Compliance

  • Verifies that all required account opening documents and investment strategies meet NCF policy standards
  • Addresses financial advisor questions to ensure strong investment compliance standards are maintained
  • Partners with the larger Investments team to resolve ongoing compliance matters as they arise

Process Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Identifies opportunities to streamline processes as knowledge of NCF's SMA business grows
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives and helps implement approved enhancements
  • Supports strategic, cross-functional projects that contribute to team goals and organizational impact

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in an investment-related client service role within a brokerage, advisory, or banking environment
  • Basic accounting knowledge, including debits / credits and reconciliation
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities in real-time situations
  • Experience working with financial advisors or advisory teams preferred

Knowledge Base

  • Solid understanding of SMAs, investments, and the investment industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with charitable giving, foundations, or other non-profits is helpful
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to balance technical administrative expertise with relational engagement
