As we continue to grow, we are looking for a strategic and highly analytical Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional to join our Finance team and help drive business performance through insightful financial analysis and planning.
Position Summary
The Senior, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional will play a critical role in supporting Picarro's financial planning, forecasting, strategic analysis, and executive decision-making. This individual will partner closely with leaders across Engineering, Operations, Sales, Product, Manufacturing, and Corporate functions to deliver financial insights that support business growth and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional financial modeler with advanced Excel expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic initiatives, business investments, resource planning, and operational decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, dashboards, and executive presentations that provide meaningful insights into business performance.
  • Analyze operating expenses, revenue, headcount, capital expenditures, and key business drivers to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis and clearly communicate financial results to Finance leadership and business partners.
  • Partner closely with department leaders to develop accurate forecasts and understand operational drivers impacting financial performance.
  • Build scenario analyses and sensitivity models to support executive decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Improve and automate financial reporting and planning processes through advanced Excel modeling and financial planning tools.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team during month-end close to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and management reporting that enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance financial visibility, reporting efficiency, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis, business cases, and strategic initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Corporate Finance, or Strategic Finance.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial modeling, scenario analysis, pivot tables, Power Query, and large data set analysis.
  • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence business decisions through data-driven insights.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning (Adaptive Insights) is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting high-growth technology organizations is preferred.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar financial platforms.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $140K to $155K. Our total compensation package includes base salary, bonus eligibility, and equity. Your base salary range and title will be determined based on the location, experience, qualifications, skills, knowledge, level, and pay of employees in similar positions.
