We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst - Financial Data Modeling and Analytics to support advanced financial analysis, cost modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the organization. This role combines senior level financial judgment, deep financial modeling expertise, and strong data analytics capability. The individual serves as a key finance partner to leaders, ensuring financial insights are accurate, scalable, and decision focused.

What You'll Do

Financial Analysis & Decision Support

  • Serve as a senior financial partner to leaders, providing insights and recommendations that support strategic and operational decisions

  • Interpret financial results, trends, and forecasts, translating complex analyses into clear business implications

Financial Modeling & Scenario Analysis

  • Design, develop, andmaintaincomplex financial models to support:

    • Cost allocation and driverbased analysis

    • Scenario, sensitivity, and whatif analysis

  • Translate assumptions and business drivers into quantified financial outcomes

  • Translate complex modeling outputs into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions

  • Develop and refine driver-based and predictive modeling approaches

  • Ensure models are structurally sound, welldocumented, and reproducible over time

Financial Data & Analytics Foundation

  • Define andvalidatecore financial datasets used for actuals, budget, and forecast

  • Ensure consistency of metrics and methodologies across reporting and analysis

  • Design scalable analytical structures, dashboards, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)

  • Reduce manual effort by improving automation, structure, and reuse of financial analyses

  • Independently build end-to-end data and analytics solutions (i.e. ingesting data, modeling data. analyzing data, developing reports/dashboards, and sharing insights) to meet organizational priorities and timelines

Process Improvement & Knowledge Leadership

  • Continuously improve financial analysis processes, tools, and methodologies

  • Document models, assumptions, and analytical approaches to enable knowledge transfer

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, cost accounting, or financial modeling

Bonus Points

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, complex formulas) and Power BI or similar tools (data modeling, dashboards, data visualization) - Highly Preferred

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large, complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.

  • Experience building and maintaining complex financial models and supporting enterprise-level budgeting, forecasting, or cost allocation processes - Highly Preferred

  • Experience working in complex or highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, insurance, financial services), including familiarity with financial governance, audit support, and CAS/FAR regulations.

  • Experience with financial systems, reporting platforms and data integrations.

  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and growth orientation. - Highly Preferred

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed.
