Overview

PROGRAM MANAGER (NAUT):

Bowhead seeks a Program Manager to join our team in supporting the Nautical contract located in Alexandria, VA. The Program Manager will provide management, administrative, financial, technical, and business transformation support services.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain an adequate and accurate cost accounting system.
  • Establish and maintain procedures for effective data management.
  • Manage all hardware and software configurations.
  • Establish and control program product baseline.
  •  Establish and maintain a Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) program.
  • Interview, hire and on-board personnel, providing team supervision, coaching/mentoring to ensure technical efforts proceed within budget/schedule and meet customer requirements.
  • Provide the management of vendors and subcontractors.
  • Provide the technical management team working at the client's site.
  • Advise on the distribution of work among positions and organizations.
  • Advise and evaluate the effectiveness of operations in meeting goals.
  • Perform cost benefit or economic evaluations of current or projected programs.
  • Advise on potential benefits/uses of automation to improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate and advise on organization, methods, and procedures for providing support.
  • Research and investigate new or improved business and management practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
  • Ten (10+) years of program management experience.
  • Current PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Top Secret / SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
