Financial Aid Advisor
Job Summary
Assists students and parents with a payment plan for the student's education.
General Accountabilities
Consults with students and parents to determine financial aid eligibility.
Outlines a payment plan, including personal finances, student loans, government grants, and private scholarships.
Helps students fill out the correct forms, providing the necessary documents.
Informs students on loan repayment procedures and may help students develop a budget.
Ensures eligibility requirements of funding program are met.
Submits financial aid applications for federal, state, and/or private funds.
Certifies loan eligibility required by the students' lenders or guarantors.
Ensures delivery of funds to students' accounts.
Reviews financial aid files to ensure compliance with government and accrediting agency regulations.
Maintains thorough knowledge of changes to financial aid programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as institutional policies.
Maintains student financial aid files and records.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

The school operates as a hybrid long distance educational provider, the faculty, students and diagnostic equipment are not located within the school facility. Students receive didactic instruction on-line through a web based course management system, which allows for 24/7 access to classes and materials. In addition, students receive internship clinical training at a local Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) accredited laboratory or medical center near them.
Course work and lectures are presented by experienced faculty members who are board certified in their field and have (on average) over fifteen years of clinical experience.
