Job description

Within “SG Corporate and Investment Banking”, the commodities department is a worldwide major actor on precious metals, base metals, oil, gas and power markets.
The IT team based in NYC where you will work is dedicated to the support and the development of this business line in the US, and is more precisely in charge of managing pricers, market s parameters, trades capture, position keeping system and operational processes. Its principal objectives are to adapt the global in-house developed Information System called Meteor to the US gas and power financial and physical markets. Your main mission will be to use your gas and power physical markets operational functioning expertise
You will be involved in every part of this process:
- understanding, clarification and formalization of business needs
- analysis of targeted markets, mainly gas & power physicals
- writing of functional specifications
- follow-up of project guidelines / steps and progress reporting
- running of functional validation tests
- follow-up of software defects resolution and enhancements
- organization of user acceptance tests
- organization of migration processes, if needed
- writing of users guides
- demonstrate and train users on applications
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
Required/Must have:
Strong knowledge on commodities gas & power physical scheduling processes (nominations)
Financial derivatives products knowledge (Options, Swaps …) with cash and physical settlements.
Desired/Plus:: In order of priority :
- Post-Trade processing – confirmation, invoicing, settlement
- Revaluation and Accounting processes
- Credit risks processes
- Financial derivatives pricing models (Cox, BS …)

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years experience in a front office or back-office in US gas and power financial and physical markets
EDUCATION
Required/Must have: 4 year Bachelors degree
