Job description

Americo is hiring a full-time Producer Compensation Associate to join our expanding team!

The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on-site at our downtown Kansas City, MO office.

Summary

The Senior Producer Compensation Associate oversees complex producer compensation and collections reporting, ensuring accurate commission payments, debt recovery, and financial reporting. This role supports leadership through analysis, problem-solving, and process improvements that enhance operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead resolution of complex producer compensation and collections issues using reporting tools and business systems.
  • Analyze root causes of compensation and collections discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Advise leadership on producer compensation policies, debt recovery trends, and operational improvements.
  • Drive enterprise initiatives focused on automation, process optimization, compliance, and reporting enhancements.
  • Manage high-level escalations involving commission disputes, collections, legal matters, and agency relationships.
  • Prepare financial reports, metrics, and executive summaries to support forecasting and business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements, business rules, and process improvements.
  • Train and mentor team members while serving as the subject matter expert and primary escalation point for complex cases.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a business office environment.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex business issues.
  • Possess a basic understanding of financial reconciliation, auditing, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret policies, regulations, and contractual agreements with accuracy and sound judgment.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders through strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities while driving process improvements, leading projects, and building collaborative cross-functional relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience independently using Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, sorting and filtering data, conditional formatting, IF statements, and chart creation.
  • Experience utilizing reporting and database tools such as SSRS, Microsoft Access, or similar systems.
  • Possess strong knowledge of producer compensation, collections, and related financial processes.
  • Basic knowledge of Tableau.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience analyzing financial data and resolving complex business issues.
