Overview

The Senior Operations and Financial Analyst will support the Finance team on a range of financial and operational initiatives, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, market- and center-level business driver analyses, operational KPI reporting, and other ad hoc projects. This role will partner closely with the Senior Manager of FP&A and work directly with the COO and other operational leaders to provide insights that improve performance, efficiency, and decision-making across the business. A core expectation of this role is the ability to develop clear, polished, executive-ready presentations that translate financial and operational analyses into actionable insights for senior leadership. The role will be diverse, challenging, and offer opportunities for autonomy, visibility, and growth.


Responsibilities

  • Develop executive-ready presentations and slide decks for the VP of Finance, COO, and senior leadership that clearly communicate financial and operational performance, key business drivers, and recommendations
  • Translate complex financial and operating data into clear, concise, visually effective slides tailored to executive and operational audiences
  • Directly support the MedQuest Finance team with complex ad-hoc and recurring analyses, including month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and operational KPI refinement
  • Develop a deep understanding of business drivers, provide financial data, and develop insights to MedQuest executives, Regional VPs, center managers, and marketing
  • Directly oversee multiple recurring workstreams (e.g., support for month end close, KPI refinement), and one-time projects
  • Serve as a business partner to the COO, center managers, Regional VPs, and corporate department leads in understanding operating performance, business drivers, and projected financial results
  • Regularly go beyond the initial scope of projects to identify and execute on additional opportunities for improvement or insight
  • Prepare standard monthly and non-standard internal reporting materials, including presentations for senior leadership and other key stakeholders
  • Build models and other tools to automate or semi-automate business processes and reporting based on specific needs of the finance team and other department leaders
  • Support both recurring FP&A processes (forecasting, budgeting, reporting) and ad hoc operational and strategic analyses to enable informed business decisions

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in operational finance, corporate finance, consulting, or related analytical roles, ideally within a growth-oriented company
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting or Economics or, equivalent experience required
  • Experience in Management Consulting or Big 4 audit desired
  • Demonstrated experience developing executive-ready presentations and translating complex analyses into clear, structured recommendations strongly preferred
  • Previous experience with healthcare is preferred, but not required

Core Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to build high-quality PowerPoint presentations and communicate analyses through clear, structured, executive-ready slides
  • Ability to think strategically at both an enterprise level and at a granular level, often leveraging the details to derive strategic insights
  • High proficiency with financial reporting and planning tools
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to build polished, executive-ready presentations; NetSuite experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal)
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated track record of significant accomplishments, taking the initiative in engaging with cross functional teams to solve problems
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and influence relationships throughout all levels of the organization
  • Ability to be creative and innovative in a fast-paced environment
