Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team. This position will manage Payroll staff and the day-to-day payroll operations. This position requires a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer and perform payroll functions for the company in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles and as may be directed by the HR Manager or Controller
  • Delegate the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
  • Assist in implementing the day-to-day policies and procedures governing the payroll functions.
  • Process and verify time cards/sheets, etc., on a timely basis.
  • Prepare payroll checks in accordance with current pay periods to ensure that employee checks are received on a timely basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested to meet the company’s needs.
Education and Experience:
  • Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years experience in payroll preparation.
  • Required software experience: Foundations, Workmax, and Payroll4construction
  • Experience with certified payroll
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to take initiative and be flexible while meeting multiple demands within a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed computer skills including competence & proficiency in Microsoft Excel
