Job description

We're looking for a Plant Controller to join our team at our Clinton, TN location. This role serves as the financial leader at the site level, responsible for driving financial accuracy, delivering operational insights, and ensuring cost discipline across the plant.

The Plant Controller will partner closely with operations leadership to support data-driven decision-making, improve overall profitability, and maintain strong internal controls. This is a highly visible role that plays a critical part in aligning financial performance with plant operations. 

Open to relocation candidates; relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate. 

Summary of Responsibility:

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of a daily management system to proactively ensure forecasted profitability targets are achieved
  • Own and maintain accurate profitability forecasts for the site, including product lines and value streams
  • Monitor plant performance against operating plans, including financial results, production output, and key cost drivers; lead the development of the plant’s annual business plan
  • Strengthen the cycle count process for both the plant and distribution center in partnership with the materials team, improving accuracy and accountability
  • Drive initiatives to improve productivity, increase efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining oversight of all fixed asset accounting
  • Support the tracking and reporting of daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs, ensuring accountability and driving corrective actions when performance targets are not met
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and company policies, including readiness for internal and external (3rd party) audits
  • Coordinate and support all internal and external audit activities

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
  • Minimum of 5 years of finance experience in a lean manufacturing environment
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
