HHM Talent is assisting a client search for an Automotive Corporate Controller in Columbus, OH. 


Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Automotive Corporate Controller to lead all accounting, financial reporting, and compliance functions across a multi-rooftop dealership group. This individual will oversee the store level controllers, standardize accounting processes, and drive a consistent month end close. This role requires deep automotive industry experience and the ability to manage complex, multi-location financial operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations for multiple dealership locations

  • Lead and mentor a team of Controllers

  • Ensure that all rooftops follow the same accounting processes

  • Enforce a 5 to 6 day month end close timeline

  • Ensure accuracy of general ledgers, schedules, reconciliations, and financial statements

  • Maintain clean, organized, compliant accounting records and processes

  • Ensure all stores meet reporting deadlines with complete, audit ready financials

  • Lead audit preparation, including flooring audits, tax reviews, and internal audits

  • Utilize the DealerTrack DMS system



Qualifications

  • Must have Automotive Corporate Controller experience

  • 5 to 10 years of multi-rooftop group experience

  • Proficiency with DealerTrack is strongly preferred

  • Proven success delivering a tight month-end close.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work onsite in Columbus, OH (relocation assistance available)
