Job Description Summary:
The Financial Controller is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of Essentra's location in Flippin, Arkansas, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and with those parts of the UK Companies Act 2006 applicable to companies reporting under IFRS. This job will be based at our office in Flippin, AR and it is a hybrid role which will require working in the office 3 days per week.
***Local candidates only please. We are not offering relocation assistance for this position. This individual will work onsite in Flippin, AR three (3) days a week.
Typical Job Duties:
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the location's fiscal function and performance.
• Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner for the Flippin location.
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of innovative programs/strategies and regulatory action.
• Provide timely and accurate analysis of financial reports and financial trends to assist the site management and off-site senior management in performing their responsibilities.
• Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the location's finance and accounting function.
• Costing and Inventory support for manufacturing, including cost rolls, cost updates on new items and inventory valuation.
• Provide technical financial advice and knowledge for the Flippin location.
• Support other U.S. sites as needed.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the location, i.e., Payroll services, Forecasting, and Internal Control.
• Be an advisor from the financial perspective of any contracts into which the location may enter.
• Manage the accounting department at the Flippin site and develop structure and a team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) for individuals.
• Accomplishes other related tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. At least 10 years of related work experience.
• Experienced leader and financial manager with appropriate industry and business experience.
• Experience supervising a team.
• An energetic, forward-thinking individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
• Technical skills include excellent Excel skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
• In-depth experience in managing the accounting and finance function for an organization.
• Well organized and self-directed individual, a team player, and excellent communication skills.
• Costing and Treasury experience
• Experience in an accounting or finance leadership role for a manufacturing company is strongly preferred.
• ERP experience is strongly preferred
• Experience working for a global organization is a plus
• Willingness to travel 1-2 times per year
