Job description

The primary goal of this position is to aid and support the Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Assistant will provide customer service to students over the phone, in person, through email, and online using our virtual communication platform. This student would be expected to learn general financial aid information and how to assist in completing a FAFSA. The ideal candidate would have strong organizational skills to help with filing and scanning and would be able to work independently to help cover the front desk associate when needed.

Answering incoming calls, emails, and virtual communication platform communications, assisting the student with completing FAFSA and other financial aid forms, processing correspondence and requests for additional informational information, digitizing student records, preparing files, scanning, and performing quality control checks.

About LCCC:

Established in 1963, Lorain County Community College is the first community college in Ohio with a permanent campus. For six decades, LCCC has served the diverse needs of greater Lorain County region by providing affordable access to higher education and now serves approximately 13,000 students each year in certificate, associate, bachelor's and master's degree programs.
