Job description

Finance Associate

Representing a $20Bn private equity firm with 30+ years of experience investing in middle-market companies. The firm has been highly successful and continues growing. Hours are typically 9-6/6:30 and in office 3 days a week.

The role reports up to the VP with high exposure to the Director, Managing Director and CFO. Ideal candidate is a 4-6 year fund accounting professional coming out of a private equity fund or the fund administration space. The role will work directly with the deal team to help facilitate deals and compile portfolio valuations.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily functions include managing the fund administrator and doing a high-level review of the financial statements & footnotes, capital calls & distributions, partner allocations & waterfall schedules
  • Help the investment team facilitate funding for deals
  • Help compile valuation of existing portfolio companies and/or potential deals
  • Assist with preparation of investor performance reports, including IRR calculation
  • Help with system implementation and technology initiatives
  • Extensive interaction with various teams across the Firm

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4-6 years of experience in the private equity industry with fund accounting experience at a fund or in the fund administration space
  • CPA preferred
