Job description


As a Financial Analyst at Chantier Davie, you will support the Finance Manager in overseeing the financial aspects of various contracts. You will play a key role in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting financial data to ensure accuracy and support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in budget development for responsibility centers
  • Analyze the budgets of the responsibility centres.
  • Perform weekly cost monitoring (contracts and general fees).
  • Produce detailed reports on budget monitoring and evaluation (general costs and fees).
  • Analyze budget disparities (budget projection vs. actual) on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and project-final basis.
  • Assist the controller with external checks.
  • Participate in the development of key performance indicators and ensure their follow-up.
  • Identify non-value-added activities and propose corrective measures.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Closely interact with the people in charge of contracts.
  • Conduct comparative studies to monitor costs and improvements.
  • Prepare monthly reports to submit to Management.
  • Perform any other related tasks within the scope of your duties upon request from your superior.


Experience and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finanace, or any other related field
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience with Canadian procurement standards (Requirement 1031-2: experience with Canadian procurement standards).
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office Suite (especially Excel) and Oracle.
  • Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken). Fluency in English is required for this position, as you will interact with English-speaking suppliers, stakeholders or clients.

Working conditions are:

  • Permanent & Full time position (40hrs per week).
  • Work office in Lévis. Telework possible.
  • Salary ranging from 88,530.00 to 100,000.00.
