Location: Pleasanton, CA (Hybrid)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Data SME with 7+ years of experience in financial data analysis, reporting, and data management. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial systems, data validation, and business analysis while working closely with finance and technology teams to support strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, validate, and reconcile financial data from multiple enterprise systems.
  • Gather and document business requirements for financial reporting and data initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to improve data quality and reporting accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards, reports, and KPIs.
  • Perform data mapping, data profiling, and root cause analysis for financial data issues.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support data migration, system enhancements, and UAT testing.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend automation solutions.
  • Create functional documentation, business process flows, and data dictionaries.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in Financial Data Analysis, Business Analysis, or Data Management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, and financial data lifecycle.
  • Advanced SQL for querying and validating financial data.
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
