Financial Analysts frequently work cross-functionally with teams such as accounting, operations, and marketing to gather data, analyze business performance, and support strategic planning. Regular collaboration ensures that financial models and forecasts are based on accurate, up-to-date information from across the organization. This teamwork is essential for preparing budgets, evaluating investment opportunities, and providing actionable insights to management. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are important for success in these collaborative efforts.

Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Excel, financial databases (like Bloomberg), and certifications such as CFA or CPA are often required. Attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving skills help analysts interpret data and present actionable insights. These abilities are crucial for making informed recommendations that drive sound financial decisions and business growth.

Will AI replace financial analysts?

However, financial analysts' roles also require critical thinking, interpretation, and strategic decision-making that AI cannot fully replicate, so the profession is expected to evolve rather than be replaced entirely.

  • Analytical thinking and relationship-building
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Commitment to excellence, respect, collaboration, continuous improvement, and integrity

The Team
The Direct Real Estate Team is part of Fidelity's Alternative Product Development Team, which collaborates closely with Fidelity's Asset Management Division. The team's mission is to build a successful and scalable real estate investment platform. As part of Fidelity's Enterprise Services Division, the team supports new business creation and innovation, coordinating across tax, legal, compliance, risk, and controllership functions to support real estate fund operations.
Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
The base salary range for this position is $67,000-$127,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
