Job description

The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial data, monitoring company performance, and providing insights that support strategic decision-making. In a moving and logistics environment, this role focuses heavily on job costing, labor analysis, fleet expenses, revenue trends, and operational efficiency. The Financial Analyst works closely with operations, dispatch, and leadership to ensure profitability and cost control across all branches and services. 
This a Hybrid Role; Candidate must be local to Sterling, VA or surrounding areas. 

Responsibilities 

  • Conducting financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to provide actionable insights for management.  

  • Preparing detailed financial reports, presentations, and projections.  

  • Evaluating current and historical financial data to determine trends and company valuation.  

  • Recommending investments, portfolios, or business strategies based on data analysis.  

  • Collaborating with departments to assess financial performance and assist in budgeting, variance analysis, and strategic planning.  

  • Performing ad-hoc financial analyses as required.  

  • Staying informed on market trends, industry developments, and economic conditions. 

Qualifications 

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial concepts and mathematics.  

  • Experience with financial modeling, data analysis tools, and software such as Excel, SQL, or analytics platforms.  

  • Knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and governmental accounting standards.
