Purpose
This is a growing Team and various new opportunities on the Regulatory Accounting Team available.
Senior-level individual contributor responsible for leading complex regulatory accounting, FERC/NARUC reporting, rate-case support, commission data requests, and regulatory compliance activities.
Serves as a subject matter expert for regulatory financial data, accounting requirements, rate-case support, and reporting processes while ensuring filings and support are accurate, complete, traceable, and audit-ready.

Accountabilities
  • Lead preparation and review of financial schedules and support for FERC Form 1, FERC Form 3-Q, rate cases, regulatory filings, audits, management audits, and commission data requests.
  • Serve as primary financial lead for assigned rate cases, regulatory proceedings, audits, and significant data requests.
  • Review and validate information prepared by Level I and Level II analysts for consistency, completeness, and compliance with requirements.
  • Develop complex regulatory responses, exhibits, workpapers, testimony support, and financial analyses.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on FERC USOA, regulatory accounting, regulatory assets and liabilities, cost allocations, rate recovery mechanisms, and utility accounting.
  • Lead GAAP-to-regulatory reconciliations, account mapping validations, and regulatory reporting analyses.
  • Assess accounting impacts from new regulatory orders, emerging requirements, organizational changes, and system implementations.
  • Partner directly with Regulatory Affairs, Legal, auditors, consultants, expert witnesses, business stakeholders, and finance leadership.
  • Lead process standardization, controls, documentation standards, operating procedures, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching and technical support to Level I and Level II analysts.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Five to eight years of progressive accounting, regulatory accounting, utility accounting, financial reporting, audit, or related experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, utility accounting, regulatory accounting, regulatory assets and liabilities, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting filings, rate cases, regulatory audits, commission data requests, or FERC/NARUC reporting.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills with ability to manipulate and interpret large data sets.
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion/HFM, Workiva, Power BI, PowerPlan, BlackLine, or comparable platforms.
  • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and deadline management skills.

Compensation Data
Full base salary range $80,000.00- $115,000.00 per year*Liberty considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, training and skills, and geographic location.
