At Ontic, we are committed to creating an environment where individuals are empowered by a common-sense approach, encouraged by the freedom to choose, and inspired to create opportunity for themselves, for our company, and for the future of aerospace.

Key Responsibilities

Rotation 1: Electrical Business Unit (6 Months)

  • Support Program Managers with backlog management, production priorities, and customer commitments.
  • Assist with revenue tracking, shipment pacing, and operational reporting.
  • Participate in customer recovery activities and cross-functional planning meetings.
  • Develop an understanding of product lifecycles, manufacturing operations, and business performance.
  • Complete a project focused on backlog visibility, revenue tracking, or operational performance improvement.

Rotation 2: Mechanical Business Unit (6 Months)

  • Support execution of Mechanical product lines by monitoring capacity, backlog health, and delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve production challenges.
  • Assist with operational reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop knowledge of margin management, customer priorities, and business execution.
  • Lead a workstream focused on improving operational performance or reducing past due orders.

Rotation 3: Purchase Complete Business Unit (6 Months)

  • Support externally sourced product lines and supplier-driven programs.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to monitor supplier performance and material availability.
  • Assist with forecasting, customer commitments, and revenue planning.
  • Analyze supplier constraints and participate in recovery planning activities.
  • Complete a project focused on supplier performance, forecast accuracy, or customer delivery improvements.

Rotation 4: MRO (Repairs) Business Unit (6 Months)

  • Support repair program execution from order intake through customer delivery.
  • Monitor turnaround times, operational performance, and customer service metrics.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Customer Service to improve repair performance.
  • Analyze key performance indicators and recommend process improvements.
  • Lead a capstone project focused on improving business performance and present recommendations to senior leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a structured rotational development program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or co-op experience in aerospace, manufacturing, operations, project management, or business operations.
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel or Power BI.
  • Demonstrated interest in aerospace manufacturing, business operations, and program management.

Program Highlights

  • Structured two-year rotational program across four Integrated Product Teams.
  • Executive sponsor and dedicated functional mentor for each rotation.
  • Exposure to customer relationship management, business operations, financial performance, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Training in ERP/MRP systems, business analytics, financial acumen, Lean fundamentals, presentation skills, and program management best practices.
