Job description

Senior Financial Analyst

Lewisville/Denton Texas Hybrid

$85,000 to $100,000 DOE

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the planning, forecasting, budgeting and analysis functions at Med Trans Corporation and GMR Health Systems and lead or collaborate in certain strategic and productivity initiatives, e.g., new base openings, acquisition evaluation, cost controls and/or reductions and variance analysis. Will be responsible for preparing management reports and financial analysis as required, collecting, analyzing, and reporting findings on various financial and operational data. This position will work closely with the Director, Finance Operations and COO of Med Trans and President of GMR Health Systems.
Essential Functions/Duties:
• Assist all levels of the organization with financial measures of operations and financial processes.  Development of solid     understanding of accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis and forecasting in addition to creativity.
• Manage the monthly close and reporting cycle with a focus on leveraging variance analysis to drive business results.
• Provide analytics in support of revenue, operational and business initiatives, including financial modeling, new contract       support and ongoing business tracking and evaluation.
• Develop processes and systems to monitor, analyze, and report key operating statistics.
• Assist departmental personnel with budget and forecast activity.
• Assist in the preparation of financial projections and reviews with operating departments.
• Assist Director of Finance Operations in improving efficiency within the accounting process.
• Identify, modify, and ensure completion and compliance of all hospital/partner contracts.
• Continuous improvement of data collection, analytical processes and procedures.
• Primary liaison to cooperate on any problems or special projects.
Qualifications and Experience
• 5 plus years of professional level experience in both financial analysis and accounting.
• Experience in building Income Statement/Capital Expenditures of annual plan.
• Discounted cash flow (NPV & IRR) analysis model development.

Skills & Requirements: 
• Strong organization, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• A team player and self-starter with a willingness to collaborate with co-workers across the GMR footprint – background     in leading multiple discipline teams a plus.
• A strong commitment to meeting internal and external deadlines with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of Excel, Access, Word, and ERP systems is required.
• Strong statistical background with experience in financial projections.
Education
• Bachelor ‘s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting or other related field
• Master of Business Administration preferred.
