Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing tax compliance and planning, ensuring adherence to regulations while providing strategic insights to enhance financial performance. This position requires a deep understanding of tax laws, financial concepts, and accounting practices, along with strong leadership abilities to guide the team effectively in managing clients' needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Review tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities.
  • Oversee and coordinate tax planning and projections for business clients.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and interpretation of financial reports to identify tax-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee general ledger accounting activities, including balance sheet reconciliation and accounts payable processes.
  • Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Proactively interact with clients to gather information, resolve tax-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
  • Proactively interact with clients to make sure their needs are satisfactory.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members in tax and accounting compliance procedures and best practices.
  • Lead and coordinate team efforts for a set of clients.
  • Minor - Assist in business development calls

Skills:

  • Active Licensed CPA
  • Proficient in general ledger accounting principles and practices.
  • Expertise in balance sheet reconciliation techniques.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial reports effectively.
  • Solid grasp of financial concepts related to taxation.
  • Proficient in financial analysis methodologies to assess performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with various accounting software applications, particularly QuickBooks.
  • Has great soft skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive and driven professional with a strong ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently
