Job description

Job Responsibilities:

Key Duties/Responsibilities Include:
The AEC Financial Analyst is the partner for the Emerging Markets & Technologies Segment which supports internal research and technology activities and customer facing manufacturing and engineering programs focused in Rochester, NH. This position will provide analysis of financial results across the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements. The individual will work actively with Operations, Program Management, Supply Chain, Contracts Teams and Site General Manager to understand key drivers and metrics.
Financial Analysis and Support:
Experience/Education/Skills
  • Prepare Monthly BU Estimate to Complete Files for Customer and Internal Research Projects
  • Prepare Monthly analysis vs plan and remainder of the year forecast (P&L, Cash, Project Forecasting, Capital Expenditures, Indirect Expense) to include reporting of variance drivers.
  • Review monthly results and variances with site and program leadership (labor, materials, indirect expenses, headcount and other key metrics).
  • Participate in the annual operating plan for current year and long range forecasting. This includes update of integrated excel models to forecast program sales, cost of goods sold and gross margin, development of operating expense budgets, labor and hiring forecasts , and cash flow)
  • Assist with Data Analysis tasks as assigned (i.e. labor utilization, balance sheet analysis, customer program reporting, etc.).
  • Participate in Special Projects on an ad-hoc basis to support Operations, Program Managers and leadership.

Position Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills - written, verbal and ability to present to an audience
  • Strong sense of commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with above average excel skills and model building
  • Additional Position Requirements (education, certifications, experience, physical)
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Minimum of 2 years financial analyst experience
  • SAP and/or government contracting experience is a plus but not required

Working Conditions
  • Office environment. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental condition levels
  • Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as business situations require. Some work may be done remotely.
  • Minimal travel on an as needed basis
