Job description

The Operational FP&A partners with the operations teams to drive financial planning, cost analysis, reporting, and performance analysis. This role focuses on linking financial data to operational drivers, supporting decision-making, improving efficiency, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies, and practices, and ensure that all equipment is in safe operating condition and meets or exceeds OSHA Standards.
  • Comply with all QMS / EMS procedures and work instructions as it pertains to the description of the position.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Prepare, review, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly operational financial reports.
  2. Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budget models. Work with Operations to understand KPI’s and agree on assumptions.
  3. Prepare operational balance sheet reconciliations as scheduled.
  4. Prepare analysis of Operational initiatives for cost saving benefits and impacts to the organization.
  5. Identify and Drive opportunities for cost optimization.
  6. Develop, maintain, and enhance ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed. Support Operations to implement/maintain standardization of processes that impact cost drivers.
  7. Maintain/Oversee inventory transactions between FV and Sage, ensure accurate costing and support inventory reduction initiatives.
  8. Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within HMI Glass.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Accounting/GAAP knowledge
  • Advanced/expert knowledge of Microsoft Office with a heavy emphasis on Excel (creation and use of complex formulas and functions, pivot table creation, and maintenance, etc.)
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and analytically inclined.
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate changes and gain buy in for change.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Note: Possession of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required for all new hires in all positions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance preferred or equivalent job experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
