Senior Accountant | Financial Planning & Analysis

A rapidly growing organization led by an exceptional executive team that believes in investing in its people. With exciting expansion plans into additional states, this is an opportunity to join a company where your career can grow as quickly as the business.

You'll become part of a collaborative, supportive culture where your ideas are welcomed, leadership is accessible, and finance is viewed as a strategic business partner—not simply a reporting function.

Senior Accountant | Financial Planning & Analysis Highlights

  • Join an outstanding executive leadership team.
  • Be part of a growing organization with expansion plans into additional states.
  • Enjoy real career advancement as the company continues to grow.
  • Work in a collaborative, supportive environment where people genuinely enjoy working together.
  • Partner directly with leadership and make an impact on strategic decisions.
  • Join a forward-thinking organization that embraces continuous improvement and values new ideas.

Senior Accountant | Financial Planning & Analysis Responsibilities

This position blends traditional accounting responsibilities with financial planning and analysis, giving you broad exposure across the business. You'll work closely with senior leadership, department managers, and operations to provide meaningful financial insights that improve performance and support continued growth.

Financial Analysis & Business Insights

  • Analyze monthly operating results and explain key business drivers.
  • Identify trends impacting revenue, profitability, operating expenses, and working capital.
  • Develop meaningful reporting that helps leadership understand financial performance.
  • Prepare executive-level variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Partner with operational leaders to better understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, allocations, and other accounting transactions.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Ensure financial reporting complies with GAAP.
  • Connect accounting results with forecasting and financial planning activities.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Assist with the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities.
  • Build and maintain financial models that support strategic decision-making.
  • Perform scenario modeling and ad hoc financial analysis for leadership.
  • Help improve forecasting accuracy and reporting processes across the organization.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Research and resolve reconciling items promptly.
  • Monitor balance sheet trends that may impact overall financial performance, including inventory, receivables, and accruals.

Senior Accountant | Financial Planning & Analysis Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to financial analysis or FP&A.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
  • Strong analytical abilities with the confidence to communicate financial information to non-financial leaders.
  • Someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and partnering across the organization.
