We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to support a U.S. Government Agency in San Francisco, California. This role supports litigation and legal services on complex financial investigations tied to criminal and civil matters. This is a unique opportunity to apply financial analysis skills in a mission-driven federal environment focused on asset recovery, financial investigations, and enforcement of federal judgments.

Salary: $95K-125K

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth financial investigations of individuals, corporations, and partnerships
  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, bank records, credit reports, and transactional data
  • Trace movement of funds and identify assets for potential recovery
  • Prepare detailed written and verbal reports for stakeholders
  • Support litigation through financial analysis and documentation
  • Draft discovery materials (e.g., subpoenas, interrogatories, document requests)
  • Perform research using public records, databases, and financial information systems
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and investigative personnel
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or financial management
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and database tools
  • Ability to interpret complex financial records and transactions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Experience supporting Federal Government clients or legal environments*
  • Familiarity with debt collection, asset recovery, or forensic accounting*
  • Knowledge of business entities (LLCs, partnerships, trusts, etc.) and financial structures*
  • Experience using public and commercial financial databases*
Work Environment and Schedule
  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (excluding federal holidays)
  • On-site work in San Francisco
  • Overtime may be required with prior approval
