Summary

The Financial Advisor is responsible for fostering and maintaining client relationships through comprehensive financial planning and tailored investment advice. This role demands a robust understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, personal finance, and a commitment to exceptional client service.

Specific Job Functions

  • Proactively follows up on prospect referrals from the bank system and identifies potential prospects through advertising campaigns, mailing lists, and personal contacts.
  • Develops strong working relationships with client contacts, adding value by anticipating solutions and partnering with clients for implementation.
  • Conducts thorough financial planning and analysis to grasp clients’ needs, objectives, and risk tolerance.
  • Crafts personalized financial plans and investment strategies that meet clients’ goals and financial situations.
  • Offers ongoing advice and portfolio management, modifying strategies as necessary due to changes in clients’ circumstances or financial landscape.
  • Ensures client satisfaction by coordinating with cross-company service teams for timely delivery, issue resolution, and effectively communicating the clients’ concerns and needs.
  • Cross-sells products/services and leads the development of new solutions to meet clients’ needs, coordinates presentations, involves experts as needed, closes sales, ensures smooth delivery of new services, and communicates emerging needs.
  • Displays sound technical and industry knowledge in managing and delivering products and services for clients form the initial appointment, including transactions, analyzing needs, recommending improvements, and assessing the impact of new or additional services.
  • Forges relationships with b1Bank team, community contacts, and professional advisors to identify leads and new business opportunities.
  • Complies with all regulatory and compliance requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFP®, CFA) preferred.
  • 4-7 years of sales experience in the financial service industry is required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficient in financial markets, investment products, and personal finance principles.
  • Demonstrates strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Proficient in computer skills, financial planning software, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Must have active FINRA Series 7 (Registered Representative) and/or Series 65 (Investment Advisor) licenses, or the ability to obtain these licenses within 75 days of hire.
