Job Summary: 
 
We are seeking a full-time Financial Advisor to join our growing team and serve as a cornerstone of our client relationships. In this role, you will guide clients through all facets of financial planning – from discovery and strategy to ongoing support and long-term stewardship.  You will work closely with our firm’s principal and internal team to deliver thoughtful, holistic advice that reflects our values, planning methodology, and investment philosophy.  
 
The ideal candidate is client-centric, analytical, and mature in judgement.  You bring strong interpersonal skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to counsel clients through both opportunities and challenges.  You are a lifelong learner who enjoys continuously becoming better, smarter, and more effective.  You thrive in a collaborative environment and understand how strong relationships build strong businesses.

 QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
  • Professional demeanor with strong client-facing experience
  • Experience in financial planning, wealth management, and advisory services
  • Ability to develop and present financial plans tailored to individual client needs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with financial planning software preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and impeccable attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Series 7 license required; State health, life, disability, and variable annuity licenses preferred.
  • CFP® designation helpful
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Client Engagement

  • Serve as the primary advisor for assigned client relationships 
  • Conduct discovery meetings, scheduled reviews, and ongoing check-ins to identify needs and opportunities 
  • Counsel clients through life’s financial transitions with care, clarity, and professionalism 
  • Coordinate with support team members to ensure a seamless Total Client Experience
Financial Planning & Investment Strategy
 
  • Gather, enter, and analyze client financial data to develop comprehensive financial plans
  • Prepare and present planning recommendations aligned with the firm’s methodology, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance clients can confidently follow.
  • Maintain involvement in client investment strategies, collaborating with the principal to evaluate opportunities and ensure alignment with the firm’s investment philosophy. 
  • Complete final review of all meeting materials and proactively adjust plans based on life changes, market conditions, or regulatory updates to ensure clients remain on track toward their goals.
 Collaboration & Team Leadership

  • Work under the direction of the firm’s principal to ensure consistent messaging and exceptional care
  • Provide training and mentoring to team members in financial planning and business development
  • Support investment research, planning operations, and process improvement initiatives.
 Business Development & Growth 

  • Engage prospective clients through thoughtful outreach, discovery conversations, and timely follow‑up that reflects our firm’s values and commitment to exceptional care.
  • Identify and cultivate referral opportunities by building strong relationships with clients, centers of influence (CPAs, attorneys), and community partners.
  • Collaborate with the principal and team to refine messaging, support client acquisition strategies, and contribute to sustainable firm growth.
  • Represent the firm professionally in the community and at networking opportunities, strengthening visibility and fostering trust with potential clients.
 Compliance and Confidentiality:

  • Uphold confidentiality, accuracy, and adherence to industry regulations
  • Ensure all client records, electronic and physical, are organized, complete, and compliant

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU TELL ME?  This is a professional, on-site position located in our Springfield, MA business office, adhering to a business professional dress code. The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and professional qualifications. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with core business hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
