Your Job
As a Finance & Accounting Manager supporting our Fremont site within the Optical Solutions Business Unit (OSBU), you will serve as a key business partner to Operations, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Finance leaders. You will lead plant finance and accounting activities, providing insight that supports business decisions while ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong accounting controls, and effective inventory and cost management. This highly visible role reports to the OSBU Finance Director and plays a critical part in supporting the continued growth of the Fremont operation.

We are a collaborative and high-impact finance organization supporting the Optical Solutions Business Unit, a business focused on innovation and growth. Partnering across functions and geographies, our team helps shape business decisions, improve operational performance, and support the continued expansion of the Fremont operation and the broader OSBU organization.
What You Will Do
  • Lead Fremont finance support across accounting, plant finance, inventory, cost accounting, capital, and business partnering activities.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, month-end close support, and strong controls across inventory, reserves, impairments, PII, CIP, and standard costing.
  • Support OSBU inventory management through inventory reporting, S&E analysis, blocked stock review, impairment tracking, and related journal entries.
  • Own plant / BU finance activities including transfer pricing support, standard cost updates, BOM and routing review, physical inventory coordination, and Fremont shared cost allocations.
  • Support capital requests, CIP capitalization, fixed asset transfers, and capital consumption analysis for Fremont and other designated OSBU locations.
  • Provide financial guidance for non-routine business activities such as rework, external manufacturing, R&D material usage, and other operational transactions.
  • Establish finance as a trusted resource for Fremont Operations, R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, and OSBU leadership.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to provide critical insight and support business decisions.
  • Encourage economic thinking and PBM culture through all deliverables and communication.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in finance, accounting, manufacturing finance, plant finance, or cost accounting.
  • Experience with manufacturing cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis.
  • Strong understanding of month-end close processes, journal entries, and transactional accounting.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • 4+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in electronics, manufacturing, connectivity, optical networking, or related industries.
  • SAP experience.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin to support collaboration with global business partners.

For this role, we anticipate paying $105,000 - $130,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
