Job description

The Finance Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements, and managing tax and audit processes. This role supports accurate financial statement preparation, fixed asset management, and regulatory filings, while driving process improvements and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and annual internal financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Manage compliance with bank financial reporting requirements and loan covenant calculations
  • Administer equipment financing, fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and related reporting
  • Coordinate annual financial statement audits, tax audits, and examinations by outside agencies
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
  • Maintain and manage all NYC VENDEX/PASSPort compliance filings and related documentation
  • Monitor work-in-process schedules and ensure accurate percentage-of-completion accounting for long-term construction contracts
  • Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes and financial reporting
  • Support special projects, internal controls, and continuous process improvements
