Assignment Type: 12-Month Contract with Potential for Extension or Conversion
Pay: flexing around $60/hour
Work Schedule: Hybrid - 4 days onsite Monday-Thursday, Friday remote. Additional onsite days may occasionally be required based on business needs and manager discretion.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a background in financial systems, ERP platforms, or enterprise finance applications. This person will connect business and technical teams, translating financial and operational needs into clearly defined product requirements. The Product Owner will oversee backlog priorities, support Agile delivery, and help drive modernization initiatives across enterprise financial technology.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and ongoing prioritization of the Agile product backlog.
  • Turn business requirements into detailed user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Determine priorities based on business value, project dependencies, and technical considerations.
  • Collaborate closely with developers during active sprints to answer questions and clarify requirements.
  • Meet with Finance and business partners to understand needs and identify opportunities for system improvements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate with QA and technical teams to support successful delivery and testing.
  • Track upcoming work and ensure development teams have clearly defined requirements.
  • Contribute to enterprise financial systems modernization and transformation projects.
  • Partner with stakeholders across multiple geographic regions and time zones.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional Product Owner experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and prioritizing an Agile backlog.
  • Strong understanding of user story development and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working directly with software development or engineering teams.
  • Professional experience with Financial Systems, ERP platforms, or enterprise finance applications.
  • Understanding of finance-related business processes and system functionality.
