Process Automation Specialist

  • Hours: Monday โ€“ Friday 8:20am-5:05pm,

Position Purpose:

LCNB National Bank is seeking a Process Automation Specialist within the Information Technology Department. The Process Automation Specialist is responsible for the design, development, and optimization of enterprise automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and support regulatory compliance across LCNB National Bank. This role has a primary focus on Jack Henry Enterprise Workflow (EWF) and the OpCon automation platform to streamline core banking and back-office processes. The position works closely with Operations, IT, and business units to reduce manual effort, improve processing consistency, and enable scalable automation solutions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise workflows using Jack Henry Enterprise Workflow (EWF), including routing, approvals, queues, SLAs, notifications, and exception handling.
  • Develop, maintain, and support job schedules and automation processes using the OpCon automation platform.
  • Collaborate with business and operations teams to gather requirements, document current-state processes, and design future-state automated solutions.
  • Support integrations between workflow and core or ancillary systems using SOAP and REST web services, APIs, file exchanges, and vendor interfaces.
  • Utilize SQL to query databases for workflow logic, reporting, troubleshooting, and data validation.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to support automation, monitoring, and operational tasks.
  • Monitor workflow and automation health, resolve errors and suspended items, and perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain detailed workflow documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure automation solutions align with bank policies, regulatory requirements, audit expectations, and information security standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to support enhancements, upgrades, and issue resolution.
  • Provide training and support to business users and serve as a subject matter expert for automation platforms.
  • Comprehend, retain and apply information as necessary to perform duties and responsibilities effectively
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Competencies:

  • 3+ years of experience in workflow automation, application support, systems integration, or process automation roles
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

Desired Competencies/Skills:

  • Experience with Jack Henry Enterprise Workflow (EWF) or comparable workflow or BPM platforms
  • Familiarity with Jack Henry core and ancillary systems such as SilverLake, Synergy, jXchange, or related platforms
  • Experience with enterprise job scheduling or automation tools such as OpCon
  • Proficiency with SQL for querying and data analysis.
  • Experience developing automation and support scripts using PowerShell
  • Experience working with SOAP and REST APIs, XML, JSON, and related integration technologies
  • Experience working in a regulated environment; specifically prior financial institution experience
  • Knowledge of banking operations, internal controls, and compliance considerations
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
